Frigel @OCP Barcelona 2026

Data Center Sustainability, Energy Efficiency, and Heat Reuse.

Frigel Group at OCP Summit EMEA 2026 in Barcelona as a specialist in Data Center Cooling Solutions and a manufacturer of innovative systems focused on sustainability, energy efficiency, and heat reuse.

"Cooling Environments & Liquid Cooling" Session - Focus on "Bio-based fluids for European AI data centres".

Presenters:

  • David Gyulnazaryan, Decarbonisation & Heat Reuse, Impleon.
  • Massimiliano Dall'Armellina, Sales Business Development Manager, Frigel Group.

Frigel has been focused for decades on "Engineering a more efficient and sustainable industry". Sustainability is an important part of our vision. The design and development of new Adiabatic Cooling Systems has been carried out having as goal the improvement of all KPIs linked with the environment, less kW of electricity per kW of cooling and lower usage of water (up to 95% less).

The OCP Regional Summit in Europe serves as a platform where technical and business leaders from EMEA come together to tackle crucial issues related to data center sustainability, energy efficiency, and heat reuse.

As AI rack densities increase- direct-to-chip heat transfer is becoming a foundational element of data center physical infrastructure. Current cold plate specifications commonly mandate PG25 heat transfer fluids to address corrosion control- biological stability- and filtration requirements. However- petroleum-based propylene glycol presents limitations in embodied carbon- and alignment with European sustainability and regulatory objectives.

This session evaluates bio-based fluids as a direct alternative for AI data center liquid cooling loops. Based on operational deployments and OCP-aligned architectures- bio-based fluids enable a next‑generation single‑loop system that can connect cold plates directly to dry/adiabatic coolers or to heat‑reuse exchangers.

The presentation positions bio-based fluids as an enabling component for single-loop cooling architectures- higher heat reuse temperatures- and sustainable AI data center infrastructure designed for long-term European deployment.
