Intelligent Thermal Management for Pepsi Cola Bottling

New Modular Thermal Management System engineered by Frigel

Beyond Traditional Cooling: Frigel Validates Next-Generation Modular Thermal Management System and Dynamic Thermal Technologies in Climatic Chamber Tests.

As global manufacturing shifts toward carbon neutrality and operational frugality, industrial process cooling is transitioning from a passive utility cost to an active driver of business profitability. At Frigel, our commitment to engineering sustainable, high-efficiency thermal management solutions takes another monumental step forward. We are excited to share exclusive, behind-the-scenes insights and photography from the recent Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of our brand-new Modular Thermal Management System.

Rigorous Testing in Extreme Conditions: Piove di Sacco Climatic Chambers

On August 25th and 26th, engineering teams gathered at Frigel’s specialized testing center and advanced climatic chamber facility in Piove di Sacco (Padova), Italy. Over two intensive days, the new Modular Chiller System underwent extensive operational validation, replicating peak ambient thermal loads and real-world industrial demands.

The results confirmed outstanding system stability, precise temperature regulation, and superior energy efficiency. Among the technical highlights validated during testing:

  • 100% Water Conservation Architecture: Utilizing closed-loop adiabatic and dry cooling configurations to completely eliminate process water consumption.
  • Integrated Heat Reuse (Decarbonization): Capturing waste heat generated during the refrigeration cycle and diverting it to plant thermal utilities, delivering direct OPEX reductions and lowering Scope 1 emissions.
  • Eco-Compliant Refrigerants: Operating with non-flammable R513A gas, ensuring safety while significantly minimizing Global Warming Potential (GWP).
The future of corporate sustainability also depends on innovative thermal management systems, and Frigel has already designed specific solutions for various industries.

Proven Impact for Global Industry Leaders

A key highlight of this testing milestone was the active involvement of the engineering team from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of New York. The newly validated Modular Chiller System is engineered to supply 100% of the cooling capacity demand for Pepsi NY's production plant, providing a resilient foundation for their long-term sustainability and productivity targets.

Engineering a Sustainable Future Together

Whether through large-scale centralized modular chillers or AI-guided dynamic temperature controllers, Frigel's core philosophy remains unchanged: combining unmatched technical performance with measurable reductions in energy, water, and carbon footprints.

We extend our sincere thanks to the technical teams and partners whose dedication made these FAT tests a complete success.
