Case story Iskra ISD
Choosing Syncro technology to ensure quality and productivity
Iskra ISD PLAST d.o.o. is a globally recognized high tech company for plastic injection moulding from thermoplastics and thermosets. They are present in the Automotive industry, Heavy duty Industry, Electro Industry, Heating Industry, Household appliances, etc.
Strategy, goals and results
Iskra proposed Frigel to test the Microgel Syncro on a technical product, a traditional kitchen oven part. The challenge to be overcome was ensuring a high level surface finish of the part, reducing the cycle time. The unit was digitally connected to the mould via an external switch, which is essential to have the syncronization between our TCU and the injection moulding machine.
ISKRA’s operators were able to proceed autonomously with the fine tuning phase of the unit setup, after a brief training held with the support of Frigel Technology department.
In the end, with Microgel Syncro, ISKRA made significant, sustainable improvements to its injection molding process. In details: +42,86 % increase of productivity; -28% cycle time reduction; 2h recipe fine tuning.
Added value provided to the customer:
- Productivity increase was not achievable without cooling/cycle synchronization
- Part quality complying with requirements
- Specific energy consumption (kWh/kg) reduction
Synchronized Mold Temperature Control is the unique solution able to increase both quality and productivity.
