The new building of Frigel new global headquarters in Florence, Italy comprises 10,000 m3 (108,000 sq ft), tripling the size of its former facility. Keeping in line with the environmental and operational efficient benefits of Frigel’s revolutionary process cooling system, all possible energy and water savings solutions were incorporated into the facility, including motion detecting lighting systems, a radiant heating system, solar panels to heat water and collected rain water is used for toilet flushing.
A 180-kW photovoltaic power generation plant installed on the roof to produce all the energy requirements for plant operations and the extra power Is supplied to the local power company. All of these features create an emissions reduction of approximately 160 tons/year of CO2.
